La Embajada del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia en el Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte se suma a los festejos y actividades por la celebración de la “Feria de la Alasita 2025” Fiesta de la Abundancia y la miniatura, que se celebra cada año el 24 de enero
Mediante Decisión 12.COM 11.b.5 del año 2017, el Comité Intergubernamental de Salvaguardia del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO), declaró a la feria de la miniatura como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad, en reconocimiento a los “Recorridos rituales en La Paz durante la Feria de la Alasita”.
Alasita, fiesta de la abundancia y símbolo de identidad cultural, se celebra al mediodía de cada 24 de enero, se remonta a antiguas tradiciones aymaras que después de la colonia, se convirtieron en prácticas religiosas. Es una fiesta que involucra a la cultura de la redistribución, donde el “Ekeko” personifica a la abundancia desde hace miles de años.

The Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland joins in the celebrations and activities of the “Alasita Fair 2025”; Festival of Abundance and Miniatures, which is celebrated every year on January 24th.
By Decision 12.COM 11.b.5 of 2017, the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), declared the miniature fair as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, in recognition of the “Ritual tours in La Paz during the Alasita Fair”.
Alasita, a festival of abundance and a symbol of cultural identity, is celebrated at noon every January 24th, and dates back to ancient Aymara traditions that, after the colony, became religious practices. It is a festival that involves the culture of redistribution, where the “Ekeko” has personified abundance for thousands of years.
