The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Plurinational State of Bolivia denounces before the international community the attack on an ambulance transporting wounded police officers and medical personnel during the blockade established by groups aligned with Evo Morales. It is unacceptable that doctors, healthcare staff, and police officers are attacked while fulfilling their duty to protect and save lives.
On the night of Friday, June 6, an ambulance was attacked, overturned, and burned in the municipality of Vinto, and its occupants—four police officers and healthcare staff —were violently attacked. These events cannot be considered a social demonstration; they are acts of vandalism that threaten the life, health, and fundamental rights of the population.
These actions violate access to healthcare, physical integrity, and freedom of movement, principles preserved in our Constitution and compatible with international human rights treaties.
These are unacceptable acts that pursue the political objective of the Evo Morales’ regime to shorten the constitutional mandate of President Luis Arce Catacora and prevent the holding of the national elections scheduled for 17th August.
The Bolivian people have the right to live in peace and to freely and democratically elect their leaders. We call on international human rights organizations to remain vigilant in the face of these serious violations, which jeopardize democratic stability and peaceful coexistence in our country.
We also call on citizens to defend peace, institutions, and the rule of law, to firmly support the electoral process on 17th August, and to reject and isolate those who promote violence, chaos, and destabilization. Nothing justifies violence or attacks on essential services such as healthcare.

El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia denuncia ante la comunidad internacional el ataque perpetrado contra una ambulancia que transportaba policías heridos y personal médico, durante el bloqueo instalado por grupos afines a Evo Morales. Es inadmisible que médicos, personal de salud y efectivos policiales sean agredidos mientras cumplen con su deber de proteger y salvar vidas.
La noche del viernes 6 de junio, una ambulancia fue atacada, volcada y quemada en el municipio de Vinto y sus ocupantes —cuatro efectivos policiales y personal de salud— fueron violentamente agredidos. Estos hechos no pueden considerarse una manifestación social; son actos de vandalismo que atentan contra la vida, la salud y los derechos fundamentales de la población.
Estas acciones atentan contra el acceso a la salud, la integridad física y el libre tránsito, principios consagrados en nuestra Constitución Política del Estado y compatibles con los tratados internacionales en materia de derechos humanos.
Se trata de hechos inaceptables que persiguen el objetivo político del evismo de acortar el mandato constitucional del presidente Luis Arce Catacora e impedir la realización de las elecciones nacionales previstas para el 17 de agosto.
El pueblo boliviano tiene derecho a vivir en paz y a elegir libre y democráticamente a sus gobernantes.
Invocamos a los organismos internacionales defensores de los derechos humanos a mantenerse alerta antes estas graves violaciones, que ponen en riesgo la estabilidad democrática y la convivencia pacífica en nuestro país.
Asimismo, convocamos a la ciudadanía a defender la paz, la institucionalidad y el Estado de Derecho, a respaldar firmemente el proceso electoral del 17 de agosto y a rechazar y aislar a quienes promueven la violencia, el caos y la desestabilización.
Nada justifica la violencia ni el ataque a servicios esenciales como la salud.
